I really understand how important it is to study this type of information. I have been SCUBA diving sense 1967 and was in the Mira Costa High School Oceanography Club in Manhattan Beach, CA. Over the years I have seen prime dive sites with kelp, fish and all types of sea life turn into areas with NO sea life of any kind. Sea bottoms covered with slime and goo. It really makes me sad knowing how nice it once was. Studies like you are making I hope will prevent the rivers from becoming messed up. You have a cool job.
